Current Event

Being aware or local, state and national events is critical to being able to make informed decisions as an agriculturist. For this reason we will be summarizing and discussing current events on a biweekly basis.

You are to select a current event from any reputable source. This could include newspapers, government or organization (ex. South Dakota Cattlemen) website or publication, Brownfield Ag Today, News Programs, Radio Broadcasts. Once you have selected an Agriculture Current Event and researched it you are to create a blog post summarizing it. Your post should include the following:

-Nature of the issue-what is the issue?
-Where you found the article, story, or event
-Summarize the issue-Explain what the issue is, who it involves, who maybe for or against it. Be sure not to plagerize
-Your opinion of the issue-explain what you think, and why you think that
-What are the potential outcomes or consequences.

Here is the rubric that will be used to grade your current Event Posts. Current Event Rubric
