On March, 6th the Hoven FFA members competed at the Bowdle FFA Booster Club Career Development Event. The students have been practicing and studying hard to prepare for their Career Development Events. Their efforts were rewarded as many of Hoven’s teams and individuals placed very well.
The Floriculture Team comprised of Bailey Zweber, Jasmine Frost, and Tara Heuer placed 1st. Jasmine and Bailey received individual honors for placing in the top ten. Jasmine placed 5th and Bailey received first place.
Garret Spindler, Ben Krueger, and Isaac Kaiser placed 3rd as a team in the Meats Evaluation CDE.
The Farm Business Management Team place 3rd. Members of the team include Abby Simon, Bailey Baker, Kalecia Hageman, and Autumn Simon. Individually Bailey placed 9th and Autumn placed 8th.
The Hoven team of Tyler DeRouchey, Tanner Heuer, and Troy Abler placed 3rd in the Agronomy CDE with Troy placing 9th as an individual.
In the event of Nursery Landscape Hoven placed 4th. This team is made up of Dana Hageman, Calie Kaiser, and Ellie Cole.
Traci Arbach, Bre’elle Breaw, and Sammy Stethem placed 4th as a team in the Milk Quality and Products CDE.
Other top ten placing individuals include Michael Rausch with an 8th place award in the Agricultural Mechanics CDE, and Shaye Jungwirth who placed 8th in Livestock Judging.
