Second Current Event

This week you’ll be doing your second current event post of the year, and your first with me, Ms. Schwengel.  As you did for the first current event, I want you to explore what events are happening in agriculture and find something that you find especially interesting or want to know more about.

The source for your article must be from a reputable news source.  Look at online and print articles from newspapers, radio broadcasts, government websites, organization websites or news programs.

For full points your blog must include:

-Nature of the issue-what is the issue?

-Where you found the article, story, or event (include the URL if found online)

-Summarize the issue-Explain what the issue is, who it involves, who maybe for or against it. Be sure not to plagiarize

-Your opinion of the issue-explain what you think, and why you think that

-What are the potential outcomes or consequences.

Please notice that while the components are similar to before, I am also requesting you include the URL for the article you are responding to.

The rubric has also been slightly adjusted, so please look it over before you begin.

Have fun!  I look forward to reading your posts!
